Air Jordan II (2) OG 1987 Sample- representative of Italy’s delicate workmanship

Written by: Killersneakers.com On September 2nd, 2010

For most of us, whenever Air Jordan is concerned, the image of Michael Jordan will no doubt be in our mind immediately. Followed that, is NBA and USA. It is no doubt, USA is the biggest market of Air Jordan, but it is not the exclusive manufacture place of Air Jordan, Besides USA, they are quite a lot of country famous for their Air Jordan artifact and Italy is the most impressive.

You may argue that the Jordan shoes made in USA are the best, but you have to be convinced that Italy is often than not regarded the origin of fashion and classic. It is true that Air Jordan made its name and popularity in USA which is obliged to Michael Jordan, but this ongoing Air Jordan II(2)OG 1987 Sample will definitely reverse your custom idea. The shoes are made from pure Italian leather which has been used for classic handbags and shoes for centuries. The white leather gives the Air Jordan II the impression of clear and elegant. Whenever Italian classics are concerned, it would be very hard not to think of their delicate workmanship. This ongoing shoe is no exception. This is mainly represented by the snake-skin upper at the rear part of the shoes. Seeing this, we just can not stop associating the shoes with the brisk and vigor and quick response of snake. Michael Jordan in his early years is reflected by these features. In order not to be overshadowed by the original Air Jordan II, the sneaker designers have made a real effort reflected by the caved outsole.

Though, the released Air Jordan II (2) Retro samples just made it debute, they have become the everyday topic of sneaker-heads. It can be expected, along with the spread of the sample pictures, this new Air Jordan will draw a lot of attention to it. Besides the shoes in and of itself, the origin place of the shoes-Italy will earn this Jordan Shoes a lot of attention. Hopefully, it will be well-captured the moment it hit the market.

Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro -the reminder of the bittersweet moment

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 30th, 2010

[#3: Edit Options>MightyAdsense>Adsense Code]

What the definition of classic? For me, classic is the things and moments which exerts a subtle influence on you and consequently roots in your mind. Whenever there is any clue, it is unavoidable for you rethink these things and classic moments. It is for this reason; Air Jordan XIII Retro comes into being.

For basketball lovers, there will not be such a moment so bittersweet as 1997. We saw a second Three-peat of Bulls that led Bulls and Michael Jordan fans a really excitement. While fans were cheering the significant moment, we had to swallow the cruel fact that Michael Jordan would leave the game officially. Michael Jordan’s leave was not only a blow to Bull fans but also to the basketball world. Either to find something to moderate this hard decision or disguise the sorrow, Mike kept changing his shoes in this season.  Michael wore the Air Jordan XIII in a number of colorways. The colorways was so various that it was almost possible to count. Among them, the White/Red pair which Michael Jordan wore for home games was his favorite. And he wore a black/white pair during the all-game for that season. And during his last season, Michael Jordan did not let his team and fans down by leading Bulls a final champion and averaging 29 points per game which led Bulls 69 victories in the regular season. This comfirmed combination of shoes and man, which gave Air Jordan the nickname-Michael Jordan shoes

It is for the purpose of remembering this most bittersweet moment; Nike chose to release this Air Jordan XIII Retro. It has been said this release will be 3 color-ways. Two of them will be very like that of the original shoes-White/Red and Black/White, while the third one is still unavailable. Hopefully, this Air Jordan Retro will arouse another excitement among Air Jordan lovers.

Air Jordan 1 ushered in a new era in sneaker history

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 28th, 2010

Air Jordan 1 is the pioneer of Air Jordan brand. It was first released in 1985 and it was an early work of Peter Moore, possibly the great sneaker designer in the world. Ever since the creation of it, there was an “Air Jordan fashion” all over the world. And to this day, Air Jordan has become the most popular sneaker brand in the world.

The first show of Air Jordan 1 can trace back to in 1985 when Michael Jordan made his debute with a pair of strange shoes. When he entered into the stadium, he has won all the attention of the crowd. Before that there was not a single player who dared to wear a pair of strange shoes with dazzling colourway. At that time this practice was permitted by the Association which published a rule that the color of team should be uniform, that was to say the color of the team’s jersey and shoes should be the same. As a result, Michael Jordan had to pay a fine every game. At the first, the fine was only $50 also, but in consideration of the sensation the strange shoes have aroused, the fine was raised to $1000 per game. Even so, the strange shoes were rather popular among young people as the shoes were widely regarded the representative of their rebel and personality. That resulted in a big increase to Nike’s turnover and lead to the sneaker giant=Air Jordan which is also known as Michael Jordan shoes.

Originally, Nike’s contract with Michael was to reverse its embarrassing conditions, but he brought a great vigor to Nike unexpectedly. After the release of Air Jordan 1, Nike made up the deficits and made profit. What is more, a fresh sneaker brand-Air Jordan coming into being and gradually established itself as the most popular sneaker brand.

Michael Jordan and the rise of Air Jordan

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 26th, 2010

The 1984 draft was really an incredible one, during which some greatest player was added to the NBA history. If were not for Michael Jordan’s excellent performance, we might associate these greatest rookies with the powerful center Hakeem Olajuwon, the bulldozer Charles Barkley and the creative John Stockton. But since Michael Jordan’s appearance at the game, such association has been completely cut.

Michael Jordan debuted himself with a pair of strange shoes- Air Jordan one in his rookie years. But at the beginning of this season, it was not Michael Jordan’s performance draw much attention to him, but his Air Jordan. Before that there was nobody daring to wear such strange shoes. But the shoes were not strange but also incompatible with the main color of his team. This led to the impression that this young man had noting but eccentricity, he was nothing special, and he was just showing himself. But overtime, people began to recognize that this young man was not mediocrity. He began to outstand himself in various fields. He was endowed with amazing leaping ability, and his skill was also rare. What is more, it seemed there was some kind of dominance in this man. It seemed he was able to make shoot at any place and under any conditions. And seemingly, there was nobody could be in his way to shoot. With a pair of strange Air Jordan1 and excellent performance, he has become the focus on the court.

But his popularity was much more than that. In addition the sensation he made in the game, the trend he brought to the young people can not also be ignored. Thanks to Michael Jordan and his shoes , a special kind of atmosphere came to existence-sneaker culture. The flatulent appearance of Air Jordan 1 just satisfied the curiosity of rebels and this trend spread from here to there, and then crossed the physic border and was accepted world-wide, which led the rise of the greatest sneaker brand-Air Jordan.

Dwyane Wade and his Air Jordan 2010 in the 2010 All-Star game

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 25th, 2010

It has been quite a few months for the impressive 2010 All-Star game, but this wonderful game is still fresh to the world. All- Star game is a stage for those most outstanding and popular NBA players. To show their special status, every players was equipped a pair of sneakers which they think fitted them most. As an independent division Nike, Air Jordan also spared no efforts providing excellent shoes to Air Jordan- signature players.

The 2010 All-Star game has presented us a series of wonderful performance, during which we have also feasted our eyes on these excellent shoes. Kobe Bryant had his show with a pair of Zoom Kobe V and LeBron James the Zoom Soldier IV. As one of the best NBA players, Wade wore a pair of Air Jordan 2010. Though, the purpose of All-Star game is to provide a stage for first-rate players to play and the game was not as fierce as the finals, it is no easy job for players to be added on this All-star list. Whether a team can compete in the finals depends largely on the cooperation, competency, and attack and defense ability of the team as a whole. But to be one of the All-Star team, it put much more focus on individual ability. There are only two ways with which players can be part of the list. The players should either have a very impressive performance or earn an overwhelming popularity. And an overwhelming majority of the All-Star players belongs to the former one except O’Neal and Iverson. If were not their great popularity, they would not be added to the list. Yes, there is no easy cake to be added to the All-Star Team List, let alone have a good performance. Just as there is not lack of heroes in regular seasons, some guys did extend him to a degree possible. And Dwyane Wade was one of them. With 28 point, 11 assist, 6 rebound, and 5 steal performance, he could be a hero. Thanks to Wade’s excellent performance, his Wade Air Jordan 2010 became outstanding instead of being shadowed by Zoom Kobe V.

It is a usual Practice that All- Star players’ shoes will be retroed not long before the end of the game. Tanks to the impressive performance of its host, some shoes are very-eye-catching. A few days after the end of the game, Kobe’s Zoom V hit the market and was very popular. As one of the best players in the 2010 All-star game, Air Jordan 2010 – Dwyane Wade All-Star Game has also been revitalized by a limited release.

Michael Jordan and his Air Jordan XI

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 24th, 2010

As one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history, every classic moments of Michael Jordan consist of a legend. Michael Jordan has retirement, but these classic moments will be born in Michael Jordan fans’ mind forever. And Michael Jordan’s return with Air Jordan XIConcordin 1995 is one of these moments which should never be forgotten.

It is no wonder that Michael Jordan’s quick return was exciting news for his fans. To show his great respect to his father who was died in 1995 or for the desire to establish him in other fields, Jordan made his announcement of temporary retirement. Seemingly, his passion and love for basketball was too strong to be resisted; in no more than half year, Michael Jordan returned to the game in the second half the 1995 playoffs with Air Jordan XIConcord’. The original Air Jordan XI was a black/White colourways. But the surprise that Michael Jordan brought to the basketball field was not only this New Air Jordan, but his jersey number -45. This led doubt to his fans who were confused whether this would be a turn point of Michael Jordan, whether this signed his career peak to down. This was especially true when Bulls lost the final games. But this doubt was completely reversed when Michael Jordan went on the court in the coming season. Will Kobe Bryant surpass Michael Jordan?

Written by: Killersneakers.com On August 23rd, 2010

As fans of Lakers or Kobe Bryant, these days are really exciting. With 5 final rings and a series of individual awards, Kobe Bryant is widely expected to surpass Michael Jordan, the god of basketball, as the greatest NBA player. Of cause, this bold guess should be based on the fact that He will lead Lakers to a triple peak. This seems a little logic as the coming seasons will be full of fierce competition as the Heat and Celts has been further strengthened.

Though Kobe Bryant is my favorite player among current NBA players and Lakers, my favorite NBA team, i do not think Kobe Bryant can surpass Michael Jordan as the No.1 in NBA history. The reasons are concluded as follows. First, whether somebody can be called a great player should not be based on the final rings merely. It is true that with another final ring Kobe will catch Michael Jordan in terms of the amount of final rings, but there is really something between Kobe’s six rings and that of Michael Jordan. As a matter of fact, in the first two of Kobe Bryant’s five rings, Shaq was definitely the key player while Kobe was no better than a supporter. In the contrary, Michael Jordan has always been the leader in the way for his 6 final rings. Second, to some degree, some of Michael Jordan’s record has still yet been revised; just look at this individual awards: Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2009

2 Olympic Gold Medals – 1984, 1992

6-time NBA Champion

6-time NBA Finals MVP

5-time NBA MVP

7-time The Sporting News MVP

10 NBA Scoring Titles

3-time steals leader

3-time minutes leader

14 NBA All-Star Selections

3-time NBA All-Star Game MVP

11 All-NBA Selections

9 All-Defensive First Team Selections

2-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion – 1987, 1988

NBA Rookie of the Year – 1984–85

NBA Defensive Player of the Year – 1987–88

ACC freshman of the Year – 1981–82

2-time Consensus NCAA All-American First Team – 1982–83, 1983–84

ACC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year – 1983–84

USBWA College Player of the Year – 1983–84

Naismith College Player of the Year – 1983–84

John R. Wooden Award – 1983–84

Adolph Rupp Trophy – 1983–84

Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year – 1991

Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996

Ranked 1 by SLAM Magazine’s Top 50 Players of All-Time

Ranked 1 by ESPN Sportscentury’s Top 100 Athletes of the 20th century

Will you think Kobe Bryant will make these all? Personally, I do not think so. In addition to the encouraging individual achievements in basketball field, Michael Jordan was a really successful businessman, maybe one of the most representatives that shifted from a hero in the game to elite in business. Along with the rise of Michael Jordan in the court, Air Jordan has become the most popular sneakers. Even after his long time retirement from the game, Air Jordan shows no design of decline. Up to this day, it is impossible for sneakerheads not to know them. There is no exaggeration that all Jordans from Air Jordan 1…Air Jordan V to Air Jordan Retro have been a must for sneaker collections. Third, Michael Jordan has a greater social influence. Ever since his presence at NBA game, Michael Jordan has been the model of millions of youth and up to this day, Michael Jordan’s influence among kids and youth, Michael Jordan still keep encouraging them with his unique interpretation for the game and his love and passion for the game. And it seems Kobe is just around the other way. Though Kobe’s negative influence caused by rape scandal is overcome gradually thanks to his individual achievements and participation in charity. The chance will be rather slim for Kobe surpasses Michael Jordan in terms of social influence. Fourth, with the strong emergence of heat and Celtics, the coming season will be a tough job for Lakers and Kobe.

From what I have said, I bet you will have no difficulty to arriving at the conclusion that Kobe’s chance of replacing Michael Jordan as the greatest NBA player is rather slim. Besides, he is too far behind to catch up with Michael Jordan considering Air Jordan, the greatest sneaker brand. I think the fact Air Jordan is often than not called Michael Jordan shoes will convinces you that Michael Jordan will never be replaced by Kobe even Kobe leads Lakers to the six final Champions.

As a matter of fact, in addition to basketball, Jump man Michael Jordan has developed quite a lot of other hobbies, say Golf and motorbike. Just as his passion on basketball and NBA, Michael Jordan’s love for the motorbike is also very strong. It is this love that drives him to idea that it is necessary to release an exclusive Air Jordan for motorbike riders. As the shoes which witnessed Michael Jordan’s rookie season, Michael Jordan choose Air Jordan 1 Retro as Jesse James’ exclusive shoes and named it Air Jordan 1 High Retro in Black/Red made for Jesse James of West Coast Choppers. Essentially, this shoe is just a 2002 Air Jordan 1 Retro and it is highlighted by its impressive WCC logo on the heel while the initials printed on its forefront. As exclusive shoes of Jess James, it is unavoidable to add some features associated with Jess James to the shoes. This feature is represented by the name of Jess James which is stitched on the inner lining of the shoes.

Thanks for his love for the game; Michael Jordan has always been the high-profile clients of WWC. That is why Michael Jordan made a special effort to design an exclusive shoe for these guys. It has been said the Air Jordan 1 High Retro in Black/Red is a precise gift for WCC. In consideration of this rare and special relation, there will have been only 5 pairs to be existent. Considering the limited amounts, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High – Jesse James will be well-captured soon.
